Privacy policy — how Boost handles reader data

What Boost collects

Boost collects the minimum data required to run the editorial desk — standard server logs (timestamp, requested URL, response code), aggregated analytics (page views, country region) and any reader messages sent through the contact desk. We do not collect passwords, payment information, government IDs or biometric data.

What Boost does not collect

We do not request passwords, payment information, government IDs, biometric data, contacts, SMS, photos, microphone or location data. If anything on this domain asks for those details, treat it as counterfeit and leave.

How long we keep data

Server logs are kept for 30 days. Aggregated analytics are kept indefinitely in de-identified form. Reader messages through the contact desk are kept for as long as needed to resolve the message, then archived or deleted.

Reader requests

Through the contact desk, readers can request a copy of their data or a deletion. Boost replies within two business days.

Third parties

Boost may use standard third-party services for fonts, analytics and hosting. Each third party has its own privacy policy. Boost does not sell reader data and does not share reader messages with third parties for marketing.
