What a preview covers
A Boost preview is a short brief before a match. It covers the patch version, the map pool, the recent head-to-head, two players to watch, one stat to keep an eye on, and one tactical question that the match is likely to answer. Previews are written after the patch notes are public and updated when the bracket reseeds.
What a post-match recap covers
A Boost recap walks the deciding round — usually round thirteen of a thirteen-round half, or the bracket-reset game of a grand final. It explains the economy, the utility and the player choice that turned the series. Recaps are written within hours of the match ending and updated when the publisher releases the official box score.
Reading a veto
Every veto reveals the team’s map pool. A team that bans its own strongest map first is usually protecting a comfort pick. A team that leaves the enemy’s strongest map open is usually signalling a counter. Boost reads the veto order, not just the final map list.
Key stats to watch
Three stats matter in most competitive games: opening duel rate (who takes the first fight), plant conversion (how often a plant becomes a round win), and retake success. Boost surfaces these in every recap, alongside the standard KDA line.
When previews are wrong
Previews fail when the patch notes drop after the preview is published, when a roster changes mid-week, or when the bracket reseeds. Boost explicitly labels each of these failure modes so the reader can tell a stale preview from a current one.
Frequently asked
Does Boost publish picks or predictions?
No. Boost is editorial coverage. We do not publish picks, tips, predictions or wagering advice.
Where do I find the live broadcast?
On the publisher’s official stream or the regional broadcast partner. The viewing guide lists the current arrangements by region.
How fresh is a preview?
Previews are written after the latest patch notes and re-checked against the active roster when the bracket reseeds. The freshness date is shown in the byline.
What does Boost do when a match is postponed?
Boost updates the relevant guide, adds a correction note, and re-renders the sitemap. We do not invent a new match time.
